Last year a wonderful lady named Janette who lives in Washington state ran across my name at Classmates.com.
She saw that she had attended Randall Elementary School in Indiana during the same time period that I had and decided to contact me.
Janette had lived on the same base, Grissom AFB.
We decided that maybe we had known each other all those years ago. While she lived at Grissom there had been a fire at her home.
She apparently had lost many school pictures and other treasures.
I decided to hunt mine up.
I even had my hubby buy me a scanner.
I began to scan the pictures I had and sent them to Janette.
When I sent Janette this picture of my 1st grade class,
I received an excited e-mail back saying that
Janette recognized herself in the picture.
We had been in the 1st grade together!
I was so excited to have contact with one of
my elementary school classmates!
I had lost contact with all of them since we had moved away.
Of course, Janette and I really don't remember each other.
That's okay though, now we both have a new, old friend!
