~Salvation Steps~
Realize that God loves you.
In God's book, the Bible, He tells you that He loves you.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He sent His only Son,
that whoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Admit that you have done wrong.
There is one thing that keeps you from being a child of God, sin.
The Bible says that we all do wrong things and that separates us from God.
Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Believe that Jesus died for your sins
and that He rose again.
The Lord Jesus, God's perfect Son, came to earth.
He took the punishment for everyone's sin by dying on a cross.
Acts 16:31 "..Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved..."
Three days after Jesus died, He came back to life!
Now He lives in Heaven with Father God.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "...that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day..."
Ask Jesus into your life.
God has a wonderful gift waiting for you, the gift of salvation (rescued from sin).
Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are you saved through faith;
and not of yourselves, is the gift of God."
You can recieve God's gift.
Ask Jesus to come into your life, ask Him to be Lord of your life.
John 1:12 "But as many as received Him,
to them gave He power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on His name."
Do you believe that Jesus is the the Son of God?
Do you believe that He died for your sins?
Would you like to become a child of God? You can.
You need to talk to God or pray.
You can say a simple prayer to God like the one below:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner
and need You to forgive me.
I believe that You died for my sins.
I want to turn from my sins.
Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my life.
I want to trust and follow You
as my Lord and Savior.
Be the Lord of my life.
In Jesus' name.
Amen.
